About

I’m Colin Hattersley, an Edinburgh (UK) based photographer.

I provide Public Relations, Business and Corporate, Editorial, Arts & Entertainments, Charity and Events photography services.

From my Edinburgh base, I work throughout Scotland, the UK and internationally. I’ve pursued photography since high school, racking up 30 years producing photographs for marketing, promotional and editorial needs.

I am quick to grasp the aim of each assignment. Whether it’s securing media coverage, documenting the activities of a business or capturing the atmosphere of a festival or event.

I understand the different needs for public relations and press, documentary, and design styles of images. And what works in all areas of traditional and digital media.

And I still have fresh ideas and enjoy the challenge of creating eye-catching original work. I focus on creative direction; I don’t just turn up with my cameras and expect the client to do all the work.

With a background in press photography, I put extra emphasis on strong storytelling in my pictures, to create engaging content. And I have great contacts with the national and local media.
