Youngsters enjoy some extra-curricular activities in the snowy great outdoors as schools across many council areas of Scotland close their doors.
The earliest and most prolonged snowfall in many years played havoc with primary and secondary schools this week. And this group of lads from Liberton, Edinburgh, were among the first to make the most of the sporting opportunities.
